Okay, some responses in the contest for the most meaningless phrase. The winner gets to buy me a drink.

J.C. in Atlanta (not Jesus Christ, I'm sure he lives in Tuscon) has said he's "on the same page" about these catch phrases. He's "thinking out of the box" when he says there's too much "synergy" in these catch phrases. I'm with you, especially on the "on the same page" part. One person says this crap and thinks its clever and it becomes part of the language. Like "in this day and age" we don't have busy enough schedules without saying unnecessary words where one will do.

I always wanted to be able to go up to Jesus Christ and say "Yo, J.C." I like irreverence in general. I also think its really unfair that I'm not allowed to look at people as if they're crazy after a particularly stupid utterance and say "Nigga, please." I mean what can you say back to that? I'm gonna say it again, "Nigga, please." The other pithy comment I don't get to make is "Suck my dick." That's so perfect, you just can't argue with "suck my dick." Whoever came up with "suck my dick" should have patented it, copyrighted it, whatever. Nigga, please.
